"A painting is silence that speaks, capturing emotions, stories, and the unseen whispers of nature and the human soul".
I am Pavel Lukin, an artist from Russia. Since 2002, I have been living and working in Düsseldorf, Germany — a city where I discovered a new cultural landscape, filled with the dialogue between tradition and modernity.
My path in painting began in Rostov-on-Don (Russia), at the M.B. Grekov Art College. It was there that I first realized painting was not merely about technique or craft, but a way of holding an inner conversation — a way of exploring the world and myself.
For many years, I set art aside, immersing myself in other fields — from services and design to IT. Yet this experience widened my perception, teaching me to notice beauty in the everyday and to find harmony where it often hides. Still, the call of painting proved stronger: one day I returned to it, rediscovering its breath, its power to awaken the soul, and to fill life with energy.
My inspiration comes from many sources: the strict rhythm of urban architecture and the gentle fluidity of nature, the play of light and shadow, fleeting human emotions, and the stories we carry within. In each work, I strive to capture a fragile moment, to hold it on canvas, and to offer the viewer a chance to see their own reflection within it.
For me, art is more than self-expression. It is a space where words fall short, yet a deeper dialogue becomes possible. Where the gaze meets the image, a new story is born — not mine, not the viewer’s, but a shared one, created together.
